origin.

jeff and i shared our 8th anniversary last week and we decided to celebrate at origin. it’s tapas style and it’s damn good. it’s the kind of good that as each plate arrives, you have to take in the sight and then spin it around to examine the display from all angles. like art! but the best part is that the taste matches the aesthetic.

i’m never one to photograph my food, but i felt inspired…please excuse the meh quality iPhone photos.

here’s a “snack” of deviled eggs that we ordered to start:

here’s the Japanese style tuna salad + asian pear + avocado + spicy ponzu dressing:

we also ordered a number of different dishes (a lobster one, a chorizo one) and they were all delectable but i think my favourite was:

Bangkok beef salad + peanut + mint + mango + fried shallot + nam jim dressing

sadly, i have no picture because we tore into it too fast to photograph it.

i’m usually not a dessert person, but THIS was kickass:
